I've tried insoles and heel grips - but the only answer to stop them slipping would be to put on a strap. Where can I buy something that will do the job?
If I put "shoe strap" into ebay loads of shoes with straps come on, but I only want the strap!

depends on what kind of shoes you have.
if you have havaianas (thongs), then you can buy those patterned ribbons available at surf shops and they keep your shoes from falling off.
if you have flats or sandals ....
you could find an old pair of shoes with good straps and rip them off ;)
