I have had flat feet can i still join the army?
go to your armed forces physical, let them tell you your qualified or not. if you really want to get in,dont let your assumptions sink your ambitions
Reply:I don't know about the British,

I do know that i have what was considered "SEVERE" flat feet, and was able to join the Army, Navy, Marines, or AF. I decided to choose the AF, just becasue i wanted to work high technology., but once you get going, the feet stop hurting. Wear your inserts if you can.

Talk to a recruiter, and have them show you the medical guidelines
Reply:Trust me the Army will take you. I have low arches. I served in the Marine Corps. I suggest that you get a MOS that doesn't not require a lot of ground pounding, meaning you may want to stay out of the infantry fields. But if you elect to join the infantry the military will pay to have you feet corrected
Reply:You well need a waiver. It well take a while but you well get in. Being Flat footed is no longer disqualifying.

EDIT: British? That would have been helpful earlier, especially since most people on here are American.
Reply:Yes, you can.
