How can I PREVENT blisters on the balls of my feet while playing tennis?

I've tried changing socks, using lubrication, foot powder, moleskin, using 2 pairs of socks, gel insoles in my tennis shoes. I still develop them. Does it help to use shoes that are tight fitting so your feet can't move in your shoes at all. My latest idea has been to tape my feet. Any other ideas? Once they start to develop on my feet I'm done for when playing in tournaments.

There are blister kits that they sell at some sporting goods stores. These kits contain pads, bandages, and other things and give directions on how to apply them to problem spots to prevent blisters.

Here it is-

Nike also sells blister-prevention socks, crazy as it sounds. They seem to help me a lot!

If you want to cure blisters i recommend Band-Aid brand blister healing bandages. They work really well.

Good luck!
Reply:I have had similar troubles with blisters and found that getting tighter fitting shoes worked for me.
Reply:Tighter shoes generally help. I've found that Nike has narrower shoes (too narrow for me, thats how I figured it out =P.) I also use two socks, and this generally helps. You get blisters because the skin on your foot keeps slipping and sliding. Two socks would make your foot theoretically bigger, but tighter shoes could help two. Maybe a combination of the two.
Reply:well.... not to sound mean or anything but i would considering BUYING NEW SHOES that are DESIGNED for PLAYING TENNIS!!!

Just a thought.... look around online...

obivously they arent that good if your getting blisters on the balls of your feet...

Recommendation is still NEW SHOES
Reply:buy some thorlo socks. they are the only kind i wear when i play. they're supposed to be running socks, so they have a lot of thickness that will soak up sweat but not make it all wet and heavy. and they provide enough support.
