How to dry out good shoes without ruining them?

Rain, rain go away! It has been raining here for 30 days and 30 nights, and we're building an ark! Even though I have been using lots of waterproof spray, every good pair of shoes I own is damp right through to the insoles, and I don't want them to shrink, mildew, water spot, etc... help?

How to dry out good shoes without ruining them?
Scrunch up News Paper and stuff it into your shoes. This will absorb some of the moisture. When the paper has been in your shoes for a day or so remove it and repeat this process. That way your shoes wont shrink as the paper helps to hold the size and shape. If you are using heating at home try and hang your shoes up near the ceiling, even across the top of a door. The hot air rises and will dry your shoes out nicely. Don't put your shoes directly in front of a heater as they may melt. Good luck. Be careful you don't end up with a fungal infection on your toes from having soggy feet! A good anti fungal preventative powder can be purchased from most supermarkets or chemists.
Reply:If they don't have metal rings for shoe laces, nuke them. Yes put them in the microwave. put them in for lets say 2min. and see if there dry yet. If they have metal on them oven 325, keep close eye on them so they don't burn. Or put them in the clothes dryer. Last but not least stick them upside down on heat vent. Good Luck.
Reply:Wash them out in your washer and put them in your dryer. It won't shrink them.
Reply:I have kids and I have this problem even after it rains kids and puddles are a magnet for some odd reason. Well what I do is just sit them out at a angle at first then after a bit the water will puddle at the bottom end of the shoe so you can just pour the water out and just sit them out to dry it takes 24 hours to do but it works and another thing that you can do is buy a shoe molding (its something to keep the shoe at its normal shape) call a shoe repair guy and they will give you allot of information on the kind of shoe you have and what you can do.
Reply:microwave oven
Reply:While I am no expert on shoes, I would put paper towels or clothes inside the shoes, and let them dry slowly. If you have a pair of shoe trees, I would put them inside the shoes and surround them with an absorbent material. Good luck.
