I am waiting on my insoles from the podiatry clinic but this is affecting my job as i work on a ward in a hospital and this condition is long term.

It's doubtful but you won't know until you try. My son was fed through a tube in his stomach so was on a 'drip' feed 24 hrs a day, was needing nursing day and night as (all done at home) he was so seriously ill...and we got the lowest amount.

My GP has just told me his diabetic, arthritic mother who can barely manage to do anything for herself has been turned down.

As another answerer has said, put down your symptoms as they are on the worst day...you can but try. Good Luck
Reply:you can try expect to be knocked back the first time but appeal you sould get some help
Reply:It is very hard to claim disability benefits while you are still able to breath - if you do get it you need sick lines sent to DSS for 28 weeks before you will be considered - while you are working you cant get sick lines. I have high arches also and at 5ft5 it is hard to get shoes for my small size 2 feet
Reply:It depends how this disables you and how long you have been disabled. Generally your walking and or standing has to be limited to get disability benefit in the UK.

But why not apply anyway? If you don't ask, you won't get!
Reply:I doubt it, but you won't lose anything by trying. Just remember to fill the form in as if it is your worst day.
