My birkenstock sandles have begun to smell bad. How can I fix this without replacing the suede insole?

Mine do that occasionally. Just sprinkle some baking soda on them and leave them overnight.

Wash your feet
Reply:try some baking soda and if that doesn't work buy some sneaker ball that people put on there sneakers so they don't smell bad
Reply:Febreeze
Reply:Those ideas above are all probably pretty good, but if you wanna be proactive, try this: antiperspirant on your foot soles as part of your gettin'-ready routine. I know, it sounds stupid at first, but you'll be thanking my wife who possibly invented this trick, it friggin' works uber-well.
Reply:Try baby powder. Or you can try aerosol spray for shoes.
Reply:Dust with baking soda and let air in the sunlight, also u can try spraying with vinegar. As it dries the vinegar smell will dissipate.
