How do I keep my shoes from smelling?

I have some shoes that would look really bad with socks. Now they make my feet stink when I take them off. Is there an insole or anything I can do so they won't make my feet smell? Or will I just have to deal with it. I found some socks that cover only the bottom of the foot, toes and heels that I was going to buy for them, but I don't want my shoes to make my socks smell either.

If I'm not mistaken OdorEaters makes an insole just for that. And if you can't find an insole that fits your shoes, they have a powder or spray. :)
Reply:They do make a charcoal based insole you could use to help absorb perspiration and cut down on the offensive aeroma.

Also, what type of shoes are they, because some ankle socks go with just about any style of footware.
Reply:Wear no show socks. Sprinkle some baby powder in your shoes, it will absorb the nasty smell. Wearing the no shows will prevent the actual shoes from absorbing the smell. Remember to wear them!!
Reply:okeyy well i have shoes like that and what ido is at night, every night, i put fabric softners like the febreez ones in there. it relllyy works=]
Reply:sprinkle some baby powder in your shoe and that should get rid of the smell.
